The episodes on Comcast seem to be a little different from the opening credits I remember. Were there different ones? I seem to remember a scene with Tootie wearing a blond wig, and there was also an outdoor shot of Mrs. Ga and the girls wearing track/gym suits.

Yes there were those shots in Season 1. Comcast probably edited the opening sequence.

Season 1 had THREE Opening Credit sequences. The various shots come from different episodes.

The first opening was used for the first episode only and had the cast in various shots entirely from the first episode and the long theme. The second part of that theme "When the boys you used to hate you date...." was used in the closing credits.

The second opening was used from Eps. 2-4. They included scenes from the first episode and the shots with the cast standing together near the end was from a break in episode 2. I can tell because they all wear the same clothes from that episode and Blair's Quasimodo painting in the background when she stand with Nancy as their names appear on the screen.

The third opening was used for the remainder of the season. There were some outdoor shots of the girls at school.
