Not only that, what was Thelma doing while she was married to Keith and he was a cab driver? Was she in school? working? It seems she was going to end up being like her mom, a stay at home mom, since she was pregnant when the show ended.

One thing you should understand, Good Times is a sit-com, not a soap opera. Each episode should be thought of as an individual story line, not a continuing story line, except for 2 or 4 parters.

1. Michael being bussed was about bussing kids from one neighborhood to a different school, and the problems and situations it caused, that's it. Not if he passed or failed or dropped out.

2.JJ passing grades was about how the school system only cared about getting money from the government, and not really caring if the students passed or failed or got good grades. They just was concerned about making room for more students to come in so they could get more money, you dig.

3. That $200 stayed in the bank, so where else could they go with that story line, someone comes over and robs them at gun point for the money, oh yeah been there, done that.

4. About Flo going to night school, that was just another episode about feeling that they're worth nothing since they can't get ahead and trying to better themselves in hopes to get better chances in life. But I even thought the ending wasn't right with James going to school too, they should have just let Flo quit school so they could stay there same unemployable selves.

OK Irene, I think you stumped everybody, I think Thelma was doing.......NOTHING when she was married.

If the show would have continued after they had moved, there probably would have been an episode about Thelma wanting to go back to college and get her degree so she could better her self just like.......you know who.

See that's what was irritating abt GT. Yes it was a sitcom, but they did tend to leave things dangling like Soloman said. I keep seeing Thelma Thelma Thelma talk abt education, her parents reminding her abt how important education is, et. al. And yet, while she is married, she is not even in school. So why was she all excited abt getting scholorships and financial help? The writers could have at least shown her getting her degree from junior college, or shown her attending the local state university. Come on, in this day and age with grants and financial help, Thelma could have done that. That would have been something positive to show but the writers missed a great opportunity. They didn't have to make an entire episode abt it, just inserted it somehow.

Like I posted before, they (the writers) could have just mentioned something in the episodes, they didn't have to make a whole show around it.
