View Full Version : Full House Twins...not the olsens
Ireneparalegal 08-20-2005, 04:33 PM I always hate it when two brunette characters have blonde-haired kids. same thing on everybody loves raymond. Now, don't you all start telling me abt it's biologically possible. I am only talking abt why couldn't twin brunettes be used.
Vegas Girl 08-20-2005, 04:55 PM Better yet, how could Danny and Pam have light haired girls? Danny has almost black hair and Pam was Greek?
PrettyinPink55 08-20-2005, 08:38 PM Better yet, how could Danny and Pam have light haired girls? Danny has almost black hair and Pam was Greek?
Pam was blonde, if that helps....
PrettyinPink55 08-20-2005, 08:57 PM how true,a blonde haired greek, thats new to me to.
Vegas Girl 08-20-2005, 09:32 PM I know.....when they showed Pam, she was blonde. Her parents and Jesse have dark hair. How unrealistic is that?
PrettyinPink55 08-20-2005, 11:15 PM I know.....when they showed Pam, she was blonde. Her parents and Jesse have dark hair. How unrealistic is that?
I guess they weren't going for accuracy... ;)
I still love the show though, despite minor inaccuracies and inconsistencies!
(I.E. the whole Jesse not graduating from high school when in one episode he indeed went to a 10-year high school reunion.) ;)
Ireneparalegal 08-20-2005, 11:36 PM That is a pet peeve of mine...blonde kids with brunette or black-haired parents (on t.v. only, not in real-life)!
Brian Damage 08-20-2005, 11:40 PM Truth be told, my youngest daughter has dirty blonde hair. My wife and I are both brunettes.
Ireneparalegal 08-20-2005, 11:43 PM Brian, don't get me mad now, look at my initial post, it is a question regarding television kids, not real-life. I knew if I asked this question people may start posting that it is biologically possible. but my issue is on t.v. as if the blonde-haired kids are "better" than brunette kids. It's kind of like that thread/posts abt white people playing indians, asians and mexicans.
Ireneparalegal 08-20-2005, 11:44 PM My son has his father and I who are both dark-haired and he came out with very light hair. People thought I had done something to his hair. My other daughter has blonde streaks in her hair. People thought the same thing. Just genes.
Brian Damage 08-20-2005, 11:45 PM Sorry :seeya:
Ireneparalegal 08-20-2005, 11:46 PM oh sweetie, don't apologize. I just didn't want to strike a nerve with anyone. That's why I made my initial post clear. Never apologize to me. Ok Brian, go ahead, make me laugh!!!!!
Brian Damage 08-20-2005, 11:50 PM I'll agree with the tv aspect of it, I did always find it weird that Ray and Debra on Everybody Loves Raymond had those three blonde kids. Of course, I think the casting director was just lazy so he/she hired the girl and the twins who happen to be all related.
Ireneparalegal 08-20-2005, 11:57 PM yeah, that is my assumption too. You would think since it was Ray's show, he would have had a say so in the choice. I mean, it is partly based on his real-life and in real-life his kids are brunette.
Rachel3118 08-21-2005, 11:12 PM It is wierd that all the kids ended up with blonde hair but it doesn't really bother me.
tiff7 08-22-2005, 04:23 PM I'm a blonde but my folks both have dark hair. My sister also has dark hair. It's in the genes! My niece has blonde-ish hair w/dark eyes & my other niece has blue eyes & blonde-ish hair. Both my brother-in-law & sister have dark hair & blue eyes. It's television 4 ya that Jesse & Rebecca have dark hair & the twins are blonde-of course, b/c the twins aren't their children!
Tiff7
"Ooh Aah Just A Little Bit" by Gina G!!! (luv this song!)
spunkygirl 08-22-2005, 05:56 PM Well it's a tv show, so why analyze it? I mean if it's possible in real life then it's possible on tv ;)
blue4t 11-15-2005, 11:37 PM You could always use the excuse that the parents dye their hair and they are really light headed people.
As for Pam, all we know is that her father is Greek and that's only because of his last name and that those relatives we see are from his side of the family.
Fonzarelli 11-16-2005, 09:07 AM I know.....when they showed Pam, she was blonde. Her parents and Jesse have dark hair. How unrealistic is that?
Did they EVER show Pam? When was that?
blue4t 11-16-2005, 09:33 AM They showed Pam in an early episode. She was in a home movie bringing Michelle home from the hospital.
TVShowFan 11-21-2005, 08:49 PM How could you guys forget. The grandmother of both shows was Doris Roberts. Yes, in the beginning, the granmother was the grnadmother on 7 th Heaven but so was Doris Roberts. Plus, Doris Roberts plays the grandmother of Ray and Debras's children on Everybody Loves Raymond, thus the blonde hair.

Doris Roberts IS NOT a true blonde.
fullhousefan91619 12-11-2005, 07:07 PM how true,a blonde haired greek, thats new to me to.
Well actually her mother had blonde hair too, and in the eppy "It's Not My Job"
Irene said she's Italian, so Jesse and Pam are half Greek and half Italian.
Coory 12-12-2005, 12:15 AM They played off the Greek side more often though.
Vegas Girl 12-12-2005, 02:52 PM And Italians have dark hair, too.
barb1686 12-12-2005, 04:46 PM How is it weird for a Greek to be blonde? When I think of a greek, I usually think brunette, but there are many blondes too, right? I think blonde because a lot of the early pictures (think Olympics) they have blonde hair, correct? haha I maybe way off, but that's my insight. Either way, it's just a tv show and they were just looking for 3 cute little girls who could act, and later on a couple twin boys. I'm sure they interviewed brunettes, but they just didn't make the cut.
PZelda 12-29-2005, 04:09 AM It got me to thinking...isn't it true that Lori Loughlin is a blonde in real life? She just had her hair colored for her role. It makes sense because in the very first few episodes she appeared in as Becky, when she had pretty wavy hair, her hair looks blonde under certain lighting. But what I don't understand is why Becky, a redhead, married Jesse with black hair...then they had blonde-haired children. How is that genetically possible?
spunkygirl 12-29-2005, 10:04 AM Is Lori a blonde? I've seen her in roles before FH and her hair was always a light brown color
PZelda 12-29-2005, 12:38 PM Is Lori a blonde? I've seen her in roles before FH and her hair was always a light brown color
It always looked like she had a little blonde in her hair too...
One thing's for sure, her hair was definitely colored for her role. I can't remember where I found out about her hair color.
spunkygirl 12-29-2005, 12:55 PM Yeah she might have some blonde mixed in, I never paid attention
Yeah she was definitely colored for Becky cause in the earlier seasons of the show her hair is much darker than it is in later seasons.
Momoko 12-29-2005, 09:51 PM Maybe they just like enharret it like my mom she has red hair and both my granpa and gran ma were born with blonde hair but my one great grand pa had blond hair
Vegas Girl 12-30-2005, 08:03 PM Becky's hair was so many different colors, from light brown to red to dark brown.

Winona Ryder is a real blonde. She dyed her hair dark so she could be considered for serious roles. It has worked for her so she decided to keep it dark.
bk1714 01-20-2006, 12:48 PM On Ray Romano's website he's got an outtake from Brad Garrett during a scene talking about the lack of family resemblance between the parents and the kids. It's "Outakes from The Mentor" on the bottom left.

thanx! it seems it was apparent to the cast as well that the kids didn't resemble the parents! lol he was saying what most of us say: those kids have blonde hair and you both have dark hair.
