I remember a few years back, Henderson doing commercials for Polident denture cream. Did she actually wear dentures? Anybody know?

Probably - not sure whether they'd be partial or full dentures.

I say probably because as I recall, a law was passed in the late seventies where if a celebrity was endorsing a product, they had to actually use the product (usually provided free from the company of course, but at least they'd be using it). I think it was passed after some people got up in arms over the ad where Joe Namath wore the pantihose - citing that there's no way he should endorse a product he didn't actually use.

I don't know abt that. How would one know if someone used some particular product? A celebrity could say yes I use this detergent but who is going to argue? It certainly isn't that way with regular commercial actors. They are just actors, they don't really use the product.

I didn't know that she wore false teeth. It does make some sense to promote a product that you could use. I hate to have to admit I have bowel problems and I advertise for Exlax. Bob Dole had no problem pushing viagra in his commercials a few years back.
