Yo fellow Mooners,
Initially inspired by the virtual season, and most recently by Ms. B's first foray into fan fic (see other post around here somewhere), I've finally taken all the random notes I've made since the dvds came out and written down some virtual-esque moon.

I have to wait 3 days to put it up there (theres some sort of waiting period on fanfiction.net -- which is where Ms. B posted her story too --if you've not read it check it out), but I do plan to have it up there by Monday if you guys are interested.

SWEET. I'm most excited to see what you think -- my main concern was to try and be true to their patter. I'd been sitting on it hoping to develop the case part more, but thought, "lets just get it out there and see if its any good first." Does no good if the two of them don't sound right!

I do have a wee synopses of where i thought the case part was going (which even on the show was only ever there to give context to the M&D arguements anyway). But it's pretty much just there to thread together the good stuff. Was aiming to capture the foreplay of their arguments a bit -- I never thought them getting together should mean the end of that, so that was very important to me to keep intact.

AK! Am so excited -- can't wait to have it read!!! :D As soon as fanfic site lets me on, I'll definitely let you know.

Still, I think they did a GREAT job and made it a little easier to erase the bad taste in my mouth from the way the series really ended!

It's funny, when I first went to the virtual moonlighting site I felt a little silly...the whole "fanfiction" concept seemed sort of nutty to me, but that site changed my mind!The "episodes" were so good, I found myself quickly hooked and staying up late to finish them!

I KNOW!!! I totally feel the same way! Usuallly I'm not into fanfic, but I think the quality of the moon-stuff (including yours btw, which I really enjoyed) has been fab... and this combined with the show being gone for so long and it having ended so unsatisfactorily really makes for the fanfic thing to be a fun experience -- its not like its competing with the show or anything, you know? It just makes it better.

I'm hoping we first-timers can get the virtual folks re-inspired. I really liked what they were doing too. In the meantime, we can at least amuse each other!!! :)

I think fan fic is a great idea. Wish i was a writer. I have read Virtual so many times. I wish the show could have ended like some of these fantastic stories do. I look forward to reading more fanfic.

OK kids -- once you can tear yourselves away from your Sin City or Wedding Date or other assorted new-release DVDs, I have posted my story -- Its called "The Romantic Rut," its on fanfiction.net in the ML section (where Ms. B's is) and its my first time doing any ML fanfic, so please be gentle.

Speaking of virginal outings -- I just saw someone on there wrote a spoof of ML and Rocky Horror. O. My. God. That has be be funny -- will need to read that, meself.
