Well, who'd have thought it? So Mr. Norm Peterson is a real person, after all! And he's signed up for myspace. Maybe they've added computers with Internet access to Cheers...

For some reason, the title of this thread alone made me laugh out loud.

That's pretty cool. You wonder if in 2005 Norm would still be married to Vera and friends with Cliff Clavin? The drinking beer part of course is no surprise. I've yet to join MySpace. I have a profile on The Facebook and just really don't see the need for another profile somewhere else. Maybe oneday...

Yeah , theyd still be married, if only cause Norm would be too lazy to fill out the divorce papers, Cliff however, would be in the state pen after he went "postal" and killed 28 co-workers and his mother after being suspended for keeping the all the Victoria's secret catalogues for himself.

Vera was actually played by George Wendt's real-life wife , Bernadette Birkett, they met when they were both working at Second City in Chicago. in 10 mins of looking, i havent been able to find a pic online, but, Ive seen her on TV and shes deffinately NOT ugly....ill post a pic, if i can find one later.

hmmmmm remember the ep where Cliff meets a girl at a costume party, and they are too shy to dance when meeting as themselves? That girl WAS Bernadette Birkett, the woman who played Vera!! Anyone got a still from this ep???

it took me about 1/2 hour to find that one little pic, apparently, they wanted Vera to stay a mystery

So the face of Vera Peterson is revealed at last! (Thanks for taking the time, Mikado :) )

Now, any volunteers to take the ultimate challenge and find a picture of Maris Crane for the Frasier board?

I know, I know...it's impossible...Maris was even more of a mystery than Vera.

The thing is, I can no longer think of Vera without thinking of the end of "Thanksgiving Orphans" when she gets a pie thrown in her face (accidentally; Diane intended it for Sam.) "Charming friends, Norm. Get your coat!"

It cracks me up every time.

YW...however, I dont believe that anyone ever actually played her, so finding a face is impossible, however, going by the various descriptions given on the show , if you take a Q-tip and put a face on it , youd pretty much have it ;)
