TNN had originally planned to end Newhart with "The Last Newhart" on their site. Well, they are going to stop on the episode, "Camp Stephanie", according to Gist.com and tvgrid.com.

This has me sick!!! Right when I was just getting into this great show. My wife would tell me how good it was during it's original run, but I was never home to watch, and didn't much care. Now, a month or so ago, I let the channel on after watching WKRP, and I became hooked. Now TNN pulls the plug. They, TNN, have that childish "call 1-888-POP-1090 and tell us what is pop!" OK! "POP" is the sound of my remote control button when I go to TNN looking for Newhart and find it to be gone! Anyone know the fate of this show?

I wonder if we could call the POP number with enough people and try to get them to show Newhart at least on the weekends or something.

Calling the POP number to try to get TNN to run Newhart at least on weekends is a good idea. We need lots of angry Newhart fans to call in when they find out this coming week. The number again is 1-888-POP 1090 Anyone know a e-mail address at TNN?

Everyone call or email, OR BOTH. I want Newhart back on the air!

JULIA: Please, if you really want to feel like crying try being one of those women who hold down a job, raise a family on the side, watch their legal rights erode year after year, and are still being told that women's liberation went to far. That ought to make you feel like crying. Hhhoooo!

Julia and Carlene are talking about a poll on the Flinstones sexuality that was in the newspaper...
ALLISON: I can't believe you two are talking about cartoon character's sexuality. They're two dementinal.
CARLENE: Well gee, Allison. So are you.

I sent a e-mail to the questions@country.com address, but could not reach the one at info@viacom.com as it was sent back undeliverable.

Hmmm. I guess they got rid of the other address. Glad you got through though on the other one.

Well I'm at least going to try, if only to vent my anger. However I once remember being told that when a station gets a e-mail, they place on it the weight of either 1,000 or 10,000 viewers. Who knows if it's true, but I feel better telling myself it is.
