What makes you think that you are the only person that knows that? I've known it all along. So does almost everyone else who has watched both shows.

The first time I saw Julia Duffy was when she played Penny Davis on the soap "The Doctor's". (1970's)Anybody else remember her on that?
Also, Mary Frann played Amanda Peters on "Days Of Our Lives" in the 70's.

Julia's the bomb in whatever she does. I've seen her on Night Warning, Covergirl and the Cop, Kidz in the Wood (still plays on Disney every now and then), Designing Women, and of course, Newhart. By the way, On September 3rd, Lifetime is starting to air season six of Designing Women.

I really hate it when TMZ does their "'Memba Her/Him" articles, where they show a present day photo of a celebrity who may have not been on the public's radar/general consciousness in a while. I hate it because this is TMZ's subtle way of telling their readers that "this person is a has-been". About ten years ago, they did one on Julia Duffy (https://www.tmz.com/2009/05/29/julia-duffy-from-newhart-memba-her/).

Duffy as a guest on Cheers was excellent ! and the 1st guest appearance on Newhart is on of my favs - she confidently asks Dick about Love & Lust - Great Chemistry !

I recently saw a review that the season Duffy was on Designing Women it was their Highest Rated ... not sure if Duffy was the reason ...
