"The Liberation of Marcia Brady" recently aired on TV Land. One thing I noticed was during the live interview at Marcia's school, the interviewer said something to the effect of "Be sure to watch the early newscast tonight to see yourselves!" after interviewing Marcia and her friend. When the Brady family tuned in that evening (with Marcia always turning it off), "Be sure to watch the early newscast tonight to see yourselves!" was heard yet again, as if that command were inadvertently left on the recording during the scene when the Bradys were watching the newscast.

Was this a blooper? I don't ever recall anyone saying "Be sure to watch the early newscast tonight to see yourselves!" during the newscast itself!

I hadn't noticed that, but yes that would have to be a blooper because as you said that is never shown on an actual newscast.

What always makes me laugh about that episode is what my son said. Of course he saw the beginning of the show when Marcia is being interviewed. Then when the family sees that same scene at home, my son said, "They're watching The Brady Bunch."

Yes!! From the very first time I ever saw that episode (whooo, way back in the days) I think that was the first time I ever noticed a blooper on any t.v. show or movie. By the way, that man was a real newscaster in Los Angeles in the early 70's.
