I think it is time that our beloved Janice is bestowed and graced with the title of Administrator. Yes, Janice is a friend, but also looking at things objectively, she truly deserves it. There are not many members who are admired and respected more than her. She is constantly looked at for advice, mediation and a friendly birthday greeting. Janice deserves this title more than anybody on the boards. Whenever there was a flare up, it is Janice who recieved the brunt of criticism and disdain. She deserves every perk and honor that this great site has to offer her. I hope all of you will join me in starting a campaign to get Janice an administrator of SO. Please, let's get this done!

I think that Janice should be promoted to administrator. She is one of the friendliest members at SO and I always feel comfortable talking to her if I have a problem. She has also always done everything that she can do to help me out with any problems that I might have had. We are all very lucky to have someone like Janice around here. :)

Definitely. In a sense, I think most members (including myself) already consider her an admin.

Not to slight the other mods on SO, but Janice has the busiest and toughest boards to moderate and does a great job. She should be given admin powers imo. :D

Actually admins have a LOT more rights than moderators do. Don't think TJ and the others would appreciate it if I posted them all here. PM me if you like. It's not so much about the technical aspects. ;)

Janice does a great job on Chit Chat. This is definitely the busiest area and where trouble most often erupts.

We have 3 admins already. There's really not enough work for the 3 of us to do. I often have to make up stuff for Seth to do just to keep him busy so he doesn't become bored.

Janice is basically an admin already without the fancy title and complete access to the admin control panel. She has more power than any other mod here. She can ban/suspend people, edit avatars, edit signatures, and look up ip addresses. She would be the first to admit that she's not the most computer literate person in the world. I mean you don't come to Janice instead of robyrob when you are having computer problems. I believe she once needed help finding the c: folder on her hard drive. :)

Don't get me wrong, Janice in no way put me up to this. Her and I talked about it a couple of months earlier and she said she really didn't want it. The thing is she deserves the perks of being an administrator for all her hard work and efforts. Nobody gets blasted more than she does and I truly feel she deserves some sort of reward. Not necessarily monetary, but something. I think she deserves it...check that, I KNOW SHE DESERVES IT!

I agree that Janice is a great moderator. She comes across as nice, friendly and very fair-minded in her posts. If I thought she wanted to be an administrator, I'd vote yes; as it is, I'm unclear as to what her views would be, so I'll hold off for now. I agree that she deserves some sort of reward for all her work here.

Again, let me emphasize that Janice NEVER asked for this. I am doing the asking for her, because I feel she deserves it.

Half these boards probably don't even need moderators. Chit Chat is different. Its where most of the problems take place and where most of the posts come from. Whenever a problem occurs everyone's first response is to contact Janice. She's practically an administrator now and deserves the title.

Janice has worked really hard here at Sitcoms Online, and has had to put up with a lot of hardship to boot. If she wants the promotion, I say give it to her.

I think the title of Administrator is slightly overrated. I've been one of those before, and there really isn't a whole lot to be excited about. You can screw around with layouts and such, if that's what an Admin likes to do with free time. This was for a much, MUCH smaller board, of course. If it's something she wants, then sure..but there isn't much else she'd be doing, like TJ said.

lolz, I didn't know that the campaign for Sarah as moderator came from this thread! :lol:

Anyway, I strongly support Janice as Administrator. :thumbsup
