This board is for community threads. Community threads are threads where members can chat about anything while keeping it in one big thread. It's like a chat room, so to speak. All other threads must be posted at the appropriate boards. If it is not a community thread (or a thread that has been moved from Chit Chat to this board because it turned into a community thread or is about nothing) then it does not belong on this board. Any non-community threads will be moved or closed at the discretion of the moderator.

- do not create multiple threads, please try to use your existing threads (no more than 5000 posts per thread).

- no "personal threads"; this is not where your diary goes.

- these boards are still publicly viewable - keep it PG-rated

- please try to respect others here, everyone has a right to post here and have some fun

- all other board rules still apply.

Thank you.

So does that mean that people can't post about the passing of their loved ones here also? Than why have a public (chat) message board than?

The purpose of this board is for community threads or nonsensical threads only. Anything else needs to be posted at the appropriate board. Also, I think your thread will get more reads and responses on those boards than here, since not a lot of people read or even frequent the Random Board anyway.

I think the name of this board should be changed to Community Threads instead of Random Posts. I have a feeling that this is giving users the idea that because it says "Random Posts", it means they can post any threads.

either that or the "for random chatting about anything" description be more specific.

Guys, if you see a thread on this board that does not fit the criteria, please report it via the "Report This Post to a Moderator" button or contact an admin. This board is for community threads ONLY. Anything else belongs on a different board and is not allowed here.

Thank you.

What about posting a thread about a show that is coming to syndication? Does that go into current shows thread, or here?

there should be ABSOLUTELY NO threads related to shows here - they should either go on the board specific to that show, or in the General Sitcoms Discussion board.

Any thread or discussions not pertaining to a specific show, yet still sitcom or tv-related, it should go on the General Sitcoms board.

If your thread is about a Drama show, it belongs on the Dramas board. This includes Sci-fi shows and Cop Shows etc.

If your thread is about Music it belongs on the ChitChat - Music board.

If your thread is about Movies or Movie stars it belongs on the ChitChat - Movies board.

If your thread is about Sports it belongs on the ChitChat - Sports board.

If your thread is about Politics it belongs on the ChitChat - Politics board.

If your thread is about trading, it belongs on the Trading Post Board.

And if your Thread is about SPAM, it belongs on the IDF forums.

etc. etc. etc.

well, you probably CAN - but you certainly wont get any relevant responses to it - topics like that are much better suited to the General Sitcoms QUestions & Discussion Forum (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=27) :)

So if my thread was moved, does that mean that I probly never should have posted it to begin with, or is it just that it wouldn't get alot af veiws?

neither...you shouldn't have posted it here. it would get more views on Chit Chat Main :) this board is for the "chat" threads that go up to 1000/5000 posts. anything else belongs on CC Main, or a sitcom board if its related to a sitcom.

threads that are "announcements" or have actual topics will get moved

i try to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone trying to create a "community thread" but if it looks like you have no intention of starting one, and you are just posting random nonsense talking to yourself it will probably get removed

Ok, not sure if I'm supposed to post this here or not. I'm basically just saying hi and was directed to this forum while searching the net for the reason I can no longer view the websleuths and officialcoldcase forums. I came here because it gave me a forum about the springfield three. Anyway, I have 2 boys and live in Texas and I love to read about true crime.

you are probably looking for the True Crime Shows (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=647) and Unsolved Mysteries (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=322) boards :)

"I'm new here" threads should go on the main Chit Chat (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=154) board or on specific show boards - they will usually get overlooked if they are on this board (so I move them to ChitChat)
