Those who watch both the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the Nanny, notice how Niles sounds kinda like Geoffrey (Will calls him G) the Butler? Because he's just as smart-alecky as G. Especially when he picks on C.C. Babcock. Because I've watched Fresh Prince a lot before I started watching the Nanny when it first came out on DVD, so I know how G is. And Niles reminds me of him.

Yes, they are both alike in many ways. They both for work for wealthy people (that's a given) and they both like cracking jokes and using sarcasm. Good observation! :)

Daniel Davis isn't British in real life. I think he did a wonderful job on his accent. I seem to remember reading somewhere that people have told Charles Shaughnessy, who is really British, that he should take lessons on his accent from Daniel, LOL.

But Niles was supposed to be Brittish, right? And so was Geoffrey!

Yes, for his character on The Nanny. He's my favorite character from that show. The fueding and one-liners between him and C.C. are classic!
I think Joseph Marcell, who played Geoffrey is really British.
