Just saw a 1974 episode of Good Times, where William Christopher played a guest role as an army doctor(!) at an induction center where J.J. Evans was taking a physical.

This would have been during M*A*S*H's second or third season, so it appeared that William Christopher was moonlighting. Of course, he wasn't a full cast member at that point, so he probably worked other jobs to bring in the bucks. I wonder if him playing a doctor was a tongue-in-cheek little jab at M*A*S*H.

Same network, but different production companies. However, William Christopher may have only been on M*A*S*H on a show-by-show basis back then, which would enable him to take other acting jobs in between. The Good Times episode had a 1974 copyright date, so he was apparently doing double-duty.
