OriginalNightstalker 08-14-2005, 06:02 PM No, the offender is still at large. grinch 08-14-2005, 07:14 PM To recap the case :From 1984-1988 along a section of the New Hampshire/Vermont border known as the Connecticut River Valley,6 women were attacked in a similar manner.5 of these women were murdered (Bernice Courtemanche,Ellen Fried,Eva Morse,Lynda Moore,Barbara Agnew). The last woman,Jane Boroski, survived an attack after stopping into a convience store shortly after leaving the Chershire Fair. Under Hypnosis, she was able to describe her attacker and his vechile to Law Enforcement. This is what the Unsolved Mysteries segment focuses in on as well the efforts to catch the attacker by criminal profiler John Philpin and Law Enforcement .Despite the best minds in the area working on this case,It is still open case. There were other killings in the area that may or may not be related to this.(Jo Anne Dunham,Cathy Millican,Elizabeth Critchley) I live in the area and remember that this was front page news when it happened and the composite drawing of the attacker was in the paper. What made the case even more chilling to those of us that lived in the area is around the time these attacks were taking place in New Hampshire, just across the river in Vermont another serial killer was at work. His victims were young girls.3 girls were murdered before he was finally brought to Justice.(Sheri Nastasia,Theresa Fenton,Caty Richards)That killer is currently serving time. All of this is chroniciled in a Book "The Shadow Of Death" by Phillip E Ginsburg (available on Amazon.com) which I Highly reccomend if you are interested in learning more about this still Unsolved case. 7hurricane 08-14-2005, 07:27 PM thank you both so much...and i'll have to check out the book! ;) |
