When you were a kid or what games do you like to play now. for me when i was a kid i liked mario brothers 1 and 3. iam gonna see if they have that on gameboy advance at kmart. since i can buy it now. right now iam into sport games such as mlb,madden games,and nba live games

I haven't played video games in years and have no desire to get back into them now because if I did I would just end up becoming addicted to them. When I was a little kid I was really into Pac Man and Frogger. My big sister would take my brother and I to the arcade on weekends and we would play them. When my brothers got the Atari 2600 when it first came out I would either play Space Invaders, Asteroids or Centipede.

The one game I can recall playing was called "Bonk's Greatest Adventures" or something like that...it was fun.

Well, I still play video games. I enjoy any Mario game (except Mario Golf), Sonic, Dance Dance Revolution, Goldeneye, and the WarioWare games.

I played a lot more when I was younger, but the games that stand out the most are Final Fantasy 3, and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

These days I play Halo, GTA: San Andreas..but I always have a soft spot for the old-school action/adventure/RPG games.

I also like games by Blizzard, including StarCraft, the game where you play 50 straight hours and die.

The only videogames I ever loved playing were Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (for SEGA) and Mario and the 6 Golden Coins (for Nitendo). I beat Mario, still working on Sonic.

Oh and I also have a liking of all the Grand Theft Auto games, particularly GTA 3 and GTA Vice City.

I love Sonic!! But I can only get so far! I'm also addicted to Road Rash, Sega! Love that game!

Super Mario Brothers 1, 2, 3 (and still am today!), Duck Hunt, Tetris, Baby Bobble, Castlevania, Metroid, Skate or Die (arcade, actually), Zelda, etc...

I love games from the Street Fighter series or any games with Street Fighter characters in it, Dance Dance Revolution, and Karaoke Revolution. Oh yeah, I guess just fighting games in general. I love controlling characters that whoop ass!! ;)

I was a HUUUUUUGE fan of BAHB. :D I haven't played it in a gazillion years.

The original NES was the best. I loved playing Tecmo Bowl, Super Mario Bros I, II, III. SMB3 has to be my favorite game of all time. Also liked Burgertime, Pittfall, and the old Boxing game for Atari. Now mostly I only play Madden.

Back in the day when you had to go to the 7-11 to play video games it was Defender and Robotron!

I have the opposite problem - I have my Super Scope, but I don't have Yoshi's Safari anymore. :(



I've played video games for as long as I can remember. My family got a NES the year Nintendo started selling consoles you could own at home, which was in 1985, the year I was born. I can remember playing NES as early as 1987 -- years before most of the younguns here were born. Back in those days, Nintendo made educational games for little kids, like Sesame Street-type games and they even made a couple of educational Mario games. The reasoning for that was the NES/SNES controllers were easy for a little kid to learn. They stopped making educational games when the n64 came out, and I haven't seen any since. It's no wonder, there are 12 buttons on the Gamecube controller and the Xbox and PS1/2 controllers have more buttons than that. :dizzy: No way in hell a little kid's hands are able to grasp controllers like that today.

I loved all the games I played when I was growing up. A very fun game I played for the NES when I was a little kid was Gyromite (I think it came out in '87), and you needed to buy a special robot, I believe it was called ROB. I think there were only two games that needed ROB, and they were Gyromite and Stack-Up. Gyromite was definitely a very underrated game.

This thread makes me very nostalgic. I miss my NES. :(

I love all the arcade games you mentioned! There used to be an arcade building here when I was growing up (I think it closed in 2001 or 2002), and they had about 50 to 75 different arcade games you could play. Whoever owned that place rigged the machines so you didn't need to pay to play them -- just a few new arcade games they brought in, that was it. All you had to do was pay the entrance fee to get in, and you were good to go. :)

They had SO MANY great classics there. They even had that famous Pac-Man table, where they had a table with a TV screen built in, and two people would sit downt o play Pac-Man at opposite ends. I had SO much fun with that one.

They don't make games like they used to. :( I wish I had been around when Atari was popular.

I also had Snes and Nintendo 64, and PS1 games too.

Then i switch to Sega Dreamcast and the BEST game ever in my opinon was Fire Pro Wrestling D. (Over 300 Wrestlers in one game)

Then i converted over to the Xbox, which i have two now. One has been modded, the other just regular, but i like a lot of games on the xbox.
