I think I would be, too. In addition, I find I don't like dirty comedies like Anchorman, My Bosses Daughter and Anger Management. This film appears to be basically the same thing. I'll pass.

Anchorman and Anger Management were dirty? I can understand Porkys or American Pie considered dirty, but not those 2.

I'll definitely be there. I'm a fan of anything Judd Apatow does.

Looking forward to it! Anchorman was the film of 2004, IMO.

That's odd to hear about a man being a 40 year old virgin but there are some men who never have had sex & they're scared to approach women. The guy who's a virgin in the movie looks like he's scared of women LOL. The black guy in the movie who's name is Romany Malco used to be in the early 90's rap group College Boyz. I got the College Boyz cd's. Romany has been acting for awhile now since his group stopped making music. He played MC Hammer in MC Hammer movie that came on VH1. He's also playing on the new tv show Weeds that comes on Showtime channel with Mary Louise Parker & Elizabeth Perkins. I haven't watched Weeds yet but when i read what it's about, i was trippin because i've never heard of a white woman selling weed to support herself & her kids instead of getting a job LOL. Mary Louise Parker is the woman who sells weed on the tv show. Romany supplies her with the weed on the show.

This guy named Nick Digilio that I listen to every Friday,Saturday,& Sunday night on WGN 720 says that its even better than the trailers.Ebert & Roeper
gave it Two Thumbs Way Up.

Some guys do approach women and ask them out, but they get rejected every time.

The most common reason for such rejection is, "You're a really nice guy! You're kind and sweet! And you're so easy to talk to!"

Jerks who treat women badly never have trouble getting women to go out with them.

Women are always things like, "My boyfriend is such a jerk! I've been dating him for 3 years, and he's treated me badly the whole time!"

I tend not to like movies that are comedies to begin with and 40 Year Old Virgin looks like it isn't going to be a very good one at that.

I'll probably see it because I'm flattered that Hollywood has chosen to base a movie on my sex life! :lol:

I saw a sneak preview last night and thought it was hysterical.

Mad props to Judd Apatow for casting a 45 year old as the leading lady (Catherine Keener), it's nice to see a movie where you see a 40something woman as the one who attracts in the male lead, as opposed to all the movies where people like Connery and Redford wind up with 30-ish hot things younger than their daughters.

People say its sweet,dirty,& funny.

Also Ebert & Roeper gave it "Two Thumbs Way Up",which you might not care about.

It was pretty funny. I did think some of the jokes were just 'too' out there even for the movie itself. I'm not a big fan of the awkward 'gangster-rap' talk for a joke which they used alot but sometimes coming out of Carrell's mouth it was funny. The movie was pretty funny though. Look for the funny dance at the end. ***/****
