which episode do you think was the best, which one was the worst, and which one do you think was overly dramatic and/or prechy?

For me, the best one was "The trial of Henry Blake", the worst was "That's show-biz" and "A war for all seasons" and the one that was overly dramatic and preachy was "Yes sir, that's our baby" and "Guerilla my dreams".

Least favorite episode:
"Hawkeye," season four

My favorite episode without a doubt is "Deal Me Out."

Least favorite? I thought "Dreams" was a bit too hokey for me.

"Dreams" and "Hawkeye" rank up there as the worst in my book. Best? Hard to choose...One of my personal favorites is where Charles is masterminding a series of practical jokes between Margaret and Hawkeye/BJ (can't remember the title).

The best for me at least is something like the 3rd show where Hawkeye gives a "moose" her freedom...although, perhaps it has something to do with the huge crush i used to have on Virginia Lee, the actress who played her! :lol: hehe

Worst eps, well, theres the one where Hawk talks for 20 mins when his jeep rolls over and the Korean family helping him speak no Eng//the one where the viewer is "Private Rich" and the 4077 is seen through his eyes//the Dreams ep is also kind of boring//but, worst ep of all, the "filler" show from the last season where the 4077th finally beats the marines....in BOWLING, boy did that ep suck, just one big cliche, more on the calibre of ABC's "TGIF" comedies , than M*A*S*H

the episodes are "The Moose", "Hawkeye" (which Alan Alda decided to do because Beatrice Arthur did an episode of "Maude" earlier that season that was a "one woman show". Both shows were on CBS), "Point of View", "Dreams" and I forget the title of the last one.

Movie Tonight is my favorite episode. I HATE Bulletin Board, but I don't really know why. Dreams wears a little thin...I think they were trying too hard.

good points in this thread, i pretty much agree with everyone.

* the one where the camp adopts the american/korean ophan. ugh.

* the one where they all have a sing-along when the projector breaks. ugh.

ones i like:

* hawkeye and b.j. buy a tub from abercrombie and fitch.

* charles hoardes newspapers then goes to war with the entire camp.
