induction center's medical office where JJ was getting his physical, when JJ was being X-rayed, right behind JJ to his left was the same light green table that is right outside the bedroom door to James & Florida's bedroom? I glanced at it and immediately recognized it. I wonder, why was it even put there? accident?

Maybe to save money on settings?

LOL. this was a doctor's office, it had enough on the set to give the appearance of it, that table is sooo out of place. It's the type of table you would see at a flea market. There was nothing on it. I could see if they used it somehow, but it looked like it was just placed there.

There was always sad looking Settings on Good Times. Like the Courtroom in Gang 2, that courtroom was a horrible setup. It looked like a CLASSROOM-lol

Oh it sure was sad. I don't understand. Were the budgets for t.v. shows back then soooo bad? I grew up in the early 70's watching t.v. but not old enough to understand the making of television shows. I just thought they really wanted to make the ghetto look real bad. Watching the reruns of Good Times now makes me even more curious as to why they allowed the sets to be so "low budget". I am not talking about the Evans' apartment at all. I am referencing to sets like the courtroom, hospital, etc.

Well Sanford and Son didn't look like they had budget problems because the courtroom on that show looked like a real courtroom. Nothing like the one on Good Times

Oh really? I only watched Sanford and Son when it was first-run, I could never get into the reruns. I will have to check that out. Still it leaves the lingering question: Why the bad sets on Good Times? Or lack of ?

I guess like you said, to make it look like everything was run down.
