I was wondering if you remember the case of an old man - a retired military officer - who was searching for the little girl he and his wife had tried to adopt but had been forced to give up some 30 to 40 years before his case was profiled on Unsolved Mysteries. He had her fingerprints on a piece of paper and wanted to leave me some money through his will.

There was another case that interested me, too - that of a woman who was searching for her adopted brother who had been sent to America, but who had been parted from her when their family had been forced to cancel their immigration application.

Could you give me updates on these two cases, please?

The first case is that of Irvin Freeman, who was searching for his foster daughter. There was no update the last time this episode aired a month or two ago.

No clue on the second story. I'm hardly a "lost loves" guru. Sorry.

The adopted girl has no reason to look for her adopted father. She had her real parents in her life. Irvin is most likely dead now so he never found the girl.

And yet I do seem to recall an update mentioned on the episode list on this very site.

No, the update was on the OTHER story - the one about the boy being sent by his family to America, only to have them withdraw their immigration application. His sister was searching for him; she knew only that he had been in the army during the Korean War.
