Okay, feel free to move this thread if anyone feels it does not belong on this board for TC!!
Has anyone seen or heard of Phantom of the Opera By Andrew Lloyd Webber? The reason i ask is because featured in this spectacular musical/movie, there is a beautiful song entitled "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" . Every time this scene comes up in the play or movie, i can't help but weep because it makes me think so much about how i/we feel about John being who he was and not being here any longer!! Here are the lyrics to this amazing and touching song!:
You were once my one companion
You were all that mattered
You were once a friend and father
Then my world was shattered
Wishing you were somehow here again
Wishing you were somehow near
Sometimes it seemed if I just dreamed
Somehow you would be here
Wishing I could hear your voice again
Knowing that I never would
Dreaming of you won't help me to do
All that you dreamed I could
Passing bells and sculpted angels
Cold and monumental
Seem for you the wrong companions
You were warm and gentle
Too many years fighting back tears
Why can't the past just die?
Wishing you were somehow here again
Knowing we must say goodbye
Try to forgive, teach me to live
Give me the strength to try
No more memories, no more silent tears
No more gazing across the wasted years
Help me say goodbye
Help me say goodbye
Unfortunately, i could not get the link to hear it to work.Sorry!! But you guys get the meaning behind this post!! Just read the words, need i say more?!! :( :music: It is soung by the beautiful and amazing Sarah Brightman in the play and Emmy Rossum in the movie version!!
