In Voodoo, at the end of the episode the Skipper tells the Professor that he had been a zombie "for the past 24 hours." However, there was the day that he became a zombie, followed by the night where Mrs. Howell tries to talk to him, followed by the day where Gilligan tries to feed him halibut and kumquat sauce, followed by the night where Ginger dances for him, followed by the day that he was eventually un-zombied (de-zombied? ex-zombied?). That's about 48 hours. :)

When Ginger and Mary Ann come try to un zombied Russell Johnson blinks a few times in a row. I wonder why they kept that in because it is real noticeable

Since the witch doctor apparently needed personal items in order to place a hex, how is it that he was able to keep Mary Ann and Ginger stuck together before he is seen picking up their items? Also, why did he create voodoo dolls of the Howells wearing their safari outfits, when they were not seen wearing them before they went into the cave?

As for the Professor blinking while being a zombie: I don't see the problem with him blinking at all. After all he was still breathing, so why wouldn't he be able to blink. He was just in a trance, similar to being under hypnosis.

How about Ginger and Mary Ann actually got stuck together and the witch doctor thought he'd be nice and pick up their items and help separate the girls.

Excellent point, and you'll notice that the doll bears a remarkable resemblence to the witch doctor, even though Gilligan has never seen him.

Eddie Little Sky was such a fantastic actor. Despite the fact that he doesn't utter a single word in this episode, he creates such a memorable character in the witch doctor, and one quite different from his stoic warrior, Haruki. I love his gleeful malice as he passes the torch under the dolls' feet, his worry as he frantically tries to hypnotize the Professor (whom he has obviously realized is his greatest threat) and his childish delight at playing with Howell's elastic band. He was also wonderfully fit, and certainly didn't look like Miss Alfalfa in that grass skirt!;)
