what do u guys think about da season 1 dvd of the cosby show. i bought it. i looked up some info about it on borders.com and its getting bad reviews???

Those are special features...sort of. They misleadingly claim that those are bonus features when it fact it is simply the Cosby Show: Look Back retrospective from a few years ago.

On DVDTalk, a poster shared an email they got from CW that said they are strongly considering using network versions on future sets. I'll believe it when I read the SO review.

I bought S1, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I do understand they are they syndicated versions, but aside from the last season and a half of the series I haven't seen a whole lot of it. It's a show I'm looking forward to future sets for, and I do hope they use the full NBC versions of the episodes. But like I said, I'd never seen a lot of S1 so I didn't mind the edited versions too much at all.

It has The Cosby Show: A Look Back that is like a reunion. We bought it last Friday. I watched one episode on it and I watched The Look Back.

Rather than starting a new thread, I have a thought on this. I was at my local Wal-Mart last Friday since I couldn't go shopping for a couple of weeks because I was sick, I saw The Cosby Show - Season 1 on DVD package and since I've read the warnings here that a certain number of the episodes are syndicated cuts instead of full, complete episodes taken from the original master video tapes. Can someone provide a list of episodes from season 1 that are edited and which ones aren't? Thanks. I'm not buying unless the people controlling the rights reconsider offering the full shows from the master tapes.
