View Full Version : sara evans fans
passionsfan79 08-07-2005, 12:25 AM I have become more of a fan of sara evans. and was thinking of joining her fan club can anyone tell me whos in her club if you get a 8 by 10 photo of her? i hope to get to see her in concert i did in 2001 when she opened up for kenny chesney. but she is my favorite singer now espically since the new song came out. anyone heard of release date for her new cd?
HuntingtonM15 08-07-2005, 12:34 AM It's funny that you post this now...tomorrow I'm seeing and meeting her again. Her fan club is quite possibly the best fan club of any artist. You get 1 meet & greet per year (not guaranteed, but likely if she's in your area, and you go to the site at the exact time the M&G's are first offered), a membership package (I'm not sure what it includes anymore, because they are always changing it. It most likely includes a photo, a bumper sticker or keychain, a bio, and fan club rules/policies), access to the fan club section of her website (which includes a bunch of bonus audio and live performances which you can't hear anywhere else, bonus videos, a message board, and exclusive pictures), and advanced tickets to certain concerts. I've been in many fan clubs over the years, and none of them has even come close to this one. If you're a fan, I definitely recommend it.
HuntingtonM15 08-07-2005, 12:35 AM Oh, and as of right now, her next CD, Real Fine Place, will be released October 4th.
passionsfan79 08-07-2005, 12:42 AM oh thanks for the release date 3 days after my birthday
Nighthawk76 08-07-2005, 01:02 AM I'm starting to get into Sara Evans actually. Until recently I was never much into country music (I've always liked Shania Twain) but my mom is a huge country music fan and has been my entire life. I remember when I was seven years old and she played "Islands In the Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton twenty times a day. Well, hearing her listen to country music all the time it has started to grow on me. Though I would have to say I perfer female country singers to male ones. I hope that doesn't sound sexist.

 Sara rocks! I don't think I dislike a single song that she's recorded, and I'm REALLY looking forward to the next album. She's an even better live performer.

I'm the same way. Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley are really the only male country singers I like.
HuntingtonM15 08-07-2005, 01:26 AM I love "Suds in the Bucket."
Suds is awesome!! I loved it from the first time I heard it. I remember how I never expected it to be a single. I'm glad it was, though, because after 24 weeks on the charts, it went to #1! Sara had a baby and a #1 single in the same week.

passionsfan79 08-07-2005, 01:53 AM do you have to join online? can you send a money order to them for 25.00?
Nighthawk76 08-08-2005, 10:03 PM Today I bought the Sara Evans CD Restless. I really like it. Is this her only CD? It was the only one that was in stock.

I'm glad you got it and like it! Restless is probably my favorite of hers. It's actually her fourth album. Her other albums are:
Born to Fly (2000)
No Place That Far (1998)
Three Chords & the Truth (1997)
I'm surprised they didn't have Born to Fly. It's her best selling album to date. It's rare to see the other two in stores these days, even though I'm sure they are out there somewhere. Her style of music seems to change slightly with each album. Her first album has a classic country sound to it.
Nighthawk76 08-09-2005, 09:59 AM Thanks for the information. :) I'll be on the lookout for her other three CDs. I bought Restless at Target, which doesn't have as wide a variety of selection as Best Buy or Tower Records.

MandieR1980 08-09-2005, 11:47 AM I'm a new Sara fan myself. I liked Suds In The Bucket but I wasn't really a fan until I saw her open up for Alan Jackson a couple months ago.

No problem. Ah, Target, that makes sense now. Most of the time, they just seem to have one or two of an artist's albums.
Sara's new CD cover was released today, and now I'm even more excited!

It's great that there's a bunch of new Sara fans! It seems like a lot of people become fans after seeing her live.
Here's a few pictures that I took of her the other night (the first time concert pictures of mine came out!)
