Okay, it’s morning, you’re getting ready to go to work, you pull on your pants. Do you fasten and then zip or zip and then fasten?

Why do I want to know? Because I think of these things, I was getting dressed this morning and for a second I didn’t know which one I did first. I started thinking about it? Does everybody do it the same way? Is it a left-handed right-handed thing?

It depends on how tight the pants are. Sometimes it easier to zip then fasten and other times it's easier to do the opposite.

my preference is for button-up jeans like 501's, but if there's a zipper I do that first (but they make me very nervous)

Fasten then zip..If I did it the other way, I would end up zipping, fastening and then zipping again, just to make sure it was up. Which would be a waste of time in the morning. ;)

Fasten then zip. Excluding all the stupid button fly jeans I have.
