That board, combined with the lengendary "Happy Days" board we're on now make up the two greatest boards ever created. Lots of very memorable times spent on there (and here) Hard to believe it's been a year already...

I didn't post there much but it sure was a great board to read. Whenever it would get boring on SO I'd go there and it would put a smile on my face. R.I.P. Happy Days Chit Chat Board. :(

I know. The memories are almost endless on there. At one point we were doing TWO a day. And that's over 2000 posts in a day...Wow.

Those were great times. The roleplays were a blast! :lol:

patI think I'll step in here and say you have no idea what you're talking about.

The Happy Days Chit Chat board wasnt so special because it was labeled "HD Chit Chat", it was special because we made so many great memories there and it was basically the place where we all got to know eachother. HD Chit Chat was like OUR home on Sitcoms Online. There was a time when some of us HD'ers didnt feel so welcome in other areas of SO, so that was always our safe haven where we knew everyone knew us and we knew we were welcome. Anyone was welcome, but it was basically started by old HD fans. So it wasnt like a bunch of random people just wandered over to an Happy Days board and demanded there be a Chit Chat Board. It had sentimental value. Surely you can understand that.

Sorry if it seems like I'm being a bit defensive, but it kinda rubs me the wrong way when people say the old Happy Days Random board was no different than the main Random board. Because that definetly isnt the truth.

I dont even remember exactly why TJ closed it. He said he was going to anyways, and I guess some fight was the last straw or something.

part of the reason it was created was because back in the old days there would be so much random chatter on this board that it would completely drown out all the actual HD threads (imagine one to two 1000-post threads a DAY on the main HD board) so TJ needed a place to dump them :crazy:

patit really wasn't about this board being any different or better than other boards, it was about a bunch of people that wanted to goof around and have fun, and just happened to come here to do it.

was because that was TJ's response when we were caught amidst one of the many pranks and general craziness going on, and it sort of became the catchphrase for all the craziness that followed...

ahhhh.... so who can we "get" now and what michief can we cause? :crazy: :lol:
