Michael got on my nerves too. People like him in real life get on my nerves too (white and black). I don't care what shade of color God made your skin, respect people for who they are.

yeah u schould ido its only Human. i got so sick n tired f Michael;s raciest comments like sayign Boy is a white raciest word i just wanted to punch him right out.im surprised they didnt say r do anything.think Florida did at some point but get away with letting a child say that is just so unreal.guess that how tv was them days but stil wrong

I seemed to recall reading somewhere that the producers wanted someone in the Evans' family to be outspoken, kinda like Archie Bunker, but not in a racist way. They felt if one of the adults in the show said those comments it would be taken as possibly racist and/or it wouldn't be funny. The producers felt that coming from an intelligent child, the point could be made across the audience without the negativity that may come from it had those statements been made by an adult on the show.

I just didn't really dig the character as a whole. When he got older and sang in a couple of episodes, that was grating to my nerves!
