It might be fun to have other levels per 100 posts or something TV-related and fun. I've seen other forums that have creative levels. Afterall, this is a TV message board, so it might be creative in that manner.

i seriously turned it in for a grade, i don't remember my score though. the story revolved around him trying to raise money for his UK trip to meet the cast of last of the summer wine. something about him turning invisible and catching criminals at kmart and being rewarded $2,500 so he was able to go on his trip.

I think most people who just want to get more post will just try to post more about real things and whats wrong with that?

Actually, the "user titles" (which has LONG since become nothing more than a showplace for an avatar caption) were all cleared out - now, anyone not setting a custom user title (the black text) in the User CP is now just "Member". The colored text above it is your rank (based on post counts). Senior Member, aside from a color change, jumped 990 posts (from 10 to 1000). As you currently have between 250 and 1000 posts, you're user rank is "Forum Regular". Actually, the "user titles" (which has LONG since become nothing more than a showplace for an avatar caption) were all cleared out - now, anyone not setting a custom user title (the black text) in the User CP is now just "Member". The colored text above it is your rank (based on post counts). Senior Member, aside from a color change, jumped 990 posts (from 10 to 1000). As you currently have between 250 and 1000 posts, you're user rank is "Forum Regular". After just short of 100 more posts by you, you'll gain the user rank of "Senior Member" (When you hit 10,000 posts, you gain the "Unstoppable" distinction)

Before anyone makes a new thread saying that the User Ranks have changed....the user ranks have changed. The list of edited ranks (and possibly an explanation for the changes) forthcoming shortly.

Changelog:

What's Gone: Forum Contributor (50), Unstoppable! (10,000)
What's New: Forum Junkie (250), Forum Veteran (10,000) Forum Legend (25,000)
What's Moved: Forum Regular (Now at 50, Was at 250)

What's the Point of all this: Forum Contributor was being mistaken as meaning that that person was a paid subscriber of the site. Not true. Forum Regular was moved to 50 to solve this problem, and a new rank (Junkie) was created at 250. There were mixed connotations at exactly what "Unstoppable!" meant at the 10,000 level - and it seemed out of character relative to the other ranks, so it was changed to Forum Veteran. Forum Legend was Added at 25,000 because...well...when I came up with this whole crazy scheme, there was supposed to BE a rank at 25,000 (in addition to two other numbers), but I ran out of Rank Titles after Unstoppable, so....

EDIT: I forgot to include the BANNED! and Suspended user ranks in the graphic below. The titles still exist in their previous states.

Patience. You're still way ahead of the pace of some of us (of course, I'm out of the Rank system altogether, as I'm staff) as far as posts go.

If you want to artificially pump up your post count, just go spend a couple days on Games/Random. It's how everyone else has so many posts...

(Yes, I know there's technically a rule against posts simply to raise your post counts - but come on, we all know that Games and Random are danged near untouchable as it regards to that (how do you tell the random stuff from the spam-crap?))

Like I said in the changelog, there was some confusion on the parts of some people as to exactly what Unstoppable "meant". So, it simply got rebranded into something a little more straightforward, and more consistent with the other ranks.

Don't worry about not being a "forum legend". A quick look at your post count shows that in exactly 1,802 posts (as of right now), you'll hit that important 25K post milestone. That's, like, what? 45 minutes replying to threads on Games and Random? :lol:

I thought you switched Celebrity and Legend around? 25K Celeb and 50K Legend.

Yet another round of changes. Basically, the color changes and 100,000 Posts ranks stand. The old 2-25-100-500 Occasional/Frequent/Regular/Junkie system returns.
