Okay so be it James has been working his ass off to pay the bills, still he came out so rude to the blind salesman. It could have been written for him to not be so mean to the blind man. What was the purpose?

Brian, r u jiving me??? LOL It's the episode abt the blind salesman who sells the Evans' family a set of encyclopedias that they can't afford. James walks thru the door and already starts ranting and raving as soon as he is told the man is a salesman.

James didn't know he was blind when he was being RUDE. Plus James probably looked at it like why qa salesman was in his house without him being there. I would have reacted the same

Speaking of the blind salesman, how in the hell could he hear JJ breathing when he was lying on the floor?

J.J didn't want to get on the floor, maybe he was excited by James' instruction and a result was breathing heavy.

James was angry at how the system was treating him.

But that's my whole point, ok, so James is "mad at the system". What is yelling at a salesman have to prove? And a blind one at that. I know he didn't know the man was blind, but why did James' demeanor change as soon as he knew the man was blind? What's the difference? He is still a salesman. It doesn't change the system. Not arguing, just wondering what the purpose of that little scene was for the character to become angry at the salesman.

No it's not going to change the system but it is consistent with James' charecter LOL... I guess u have to assume James is going to be more cranky working 2 jobs most of the time too...But it was written for some laughs and that would pretty much be Archie Bunker's reaction and George Jeffersons .

I understand the Rudeness. James comes home from working hard and trying to maintain the bills they already have and he sees a salesman trying to sell something. Plus he probably was upset that since he was the breadwinner, that the salesman was inside the house while he wasn;t there.
