Not the Distribuation company (Carsey Warner or Miller Boyett) but who created the show such as Glen Charles/Les Charles/James Burrows (Cheers) or David Angell/Peter Casey/David Lee (Wings and Fraiser) or Matt Williams (Roseanne and Home Improvement) or any one from your favorite shows

Norman Lear here as well, with Glen Charles/Les Charles/James Burrows in a close second.

Glen Charles/Les Charles/James Burrows made my favorite series, but Norman Lear is more iconic. He gets my vote because nobody can compete with him.

I'd go with Norman Lear, but Sherwood Shwartz has a pretty good resume.

Id say Norman Lear, not just for a large number of comedies, but also for all the new ground he broke with shows like All in the Family and Maude, for instance

Norman Lear too.

All in the Family,Sanford and Son, Maude, Good Times, The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time........ that's a dynasty right there.

I would have to go with Norman Lear, but also give a nod to Garry Marshall (Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy)

Matt Williams (Roseanne/Home Improvement)

I like both those shows but I wouldn't agree with that. Matt Williams did a great and wonderful job with Home Improvement however I can't say the same for Roseanne, When Matt was still on the Development of the show (the first season) It was an ordinary family sitcom and a Blue collar family but, once Williams was terminated Roseanne hit it's stride as one of the best sitcoms of the 90's. I highly dought if Williams had stayed on It would have lasted as long and had so much success, however without Williams We wouldn't have gotten to see the show in the first place

I Love Carol Burnett!
