I like Jerry Paris. He was great as an actor when he played Rob Petrie's next-door neighbor but he was also a great director, too.

Peter Bonerz is also among the best.

Jay Sandrich is one of the best.

He directed 70% of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, 60% of Soap, and 50% of The Cosby Show.

He also directed episodes of The Bob Newhart Show, The Odd Couple, Get Smart, Benson, Night Court, That Girl, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Laverne and Shirley, WKRP in Cincinnati, Welcome Back Kotter, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls, Here's Lucy, and Two and a Half Men.

Heh, the three I was going to list have already been mentioned. Jerry Paris, Jay Sandrich, and James Burrows.

Burrows is my favorite.

Although I've never seen anything he has directed, Nicholas Colasanto, "Coach" on Cheers, was really a director, Cheers was one of his few acting gigs. His most famous directing was for Columbo.
