I remember when they never used to show the last ending. You know, after the final commercial, they give us a few second tidbit. If I recall, they used to show them when the show first premiered, but after the reruns and syndication, it stopped.

You are right abt that. I hated that because having seen the show on CBS, I always feel cheated when those trailing scenes were edited out.

The even trip thing about it is that they've edited for so long, you forget all about them until you watch the DVD. "What's Happening" was the same way, especially after the first show. At the end, they showed Dwyane and Rerun going back into the party home. And Rerun stole the cake. I'd completely forgotten about that scene until the DVD came out.

I assume that we are talking about the tag scenes. One thing that is a little odd is that some episodes have them and others don't. I remember the tag scene being included in the syndicated version of the episode where Florida had surgery, but otherwise the tag scenes weren't shown too much in syndication. The Jeffersons was the same way. I was surprised to see tag scenes on some of the episodes on the dvds. But again it is odd that some episodes have them and others don't. I think the Jeffersons stopped having tags after year 3, but I'm not sure. I don't recall any tags on the show when I watched years 6-9 in their original CBS airings. With Good Times does anyone know if the show had tags on any episodes after season 3?
