I dont know if any of you are familiar with this dirtbag who kidnapped and killed Charlotte Kinsey and Cinda Pallett from the Okla. State Fair in 1981.
He was identified as the last person to be seen with them, blood and hairs were found in his trunk, and two witnesses IDed him as the man who offered them jobs unloading stuffed animals. He had a long history of violence towards women. It is also worth noting that about the same time two hitchikers are murdered in Oklahoma as well, and he is suspected in these murders as well. Pallet and KInsey have never been found.

Well the judge dismissed the case saying there was lack of evidence. So then the piece of crap goes to Wyoming where he kidnaps two hitchhikers, one of them escapes, the other Sharon Baldeagle, disappears. She also has not been found. He was convicted of kidnapping and is serving two life sentences. only because that other girl escaped and IDed him.

He should have been convicted on the first charges, what is wrong with some judges. So many missing persons cases go unprosectued because of lack of evidence. I would have taken my chances as a judge and allowed the case to go on.

If you want to read more check out some of these links. The Charley project even better than the doe network because they give lots of details on the cases. Careful, youll become addicted to it!

Its unfair that people get away with these crimes and the families are left to suffer with little closure

I'm sorry but what type of parent allows their children to pack stuffed animals into a truck late at night, alone with a complete stranger????

I am not sure the Carnival was at night, and it was a group of four kids who were offered the jobs. Two boys were left in a parking lot and told to wait a minute while he went to go get something with the girls. The issue is that they got into his car. The dirtbag had stolen a carnival ID from someone to make himself look more official. He supposedly tied up the two of the girls and shot them. Their bodies have never been found.

Charlotte's mother apparently thought that there was nothing wrong with it since her daughter had told her what the guy had said to them. Obviously, these were all lies and he got away with deceiving the girls and their "boyfriends".

However, just from looking at a photo of the murderer (at the bottom of both of Charlotte and Cindy's pages), he doesn't exactly look like a trustworthy guy. Maybe he looked different at the time of these abductions/murders but if he was a serial killer/truck driver/carnival worker, it's probably not likely that he ever had a real "clean-cut" type of appearance as an adult.

It was just a more innocent and naïve time back then but it's chilling to think about it from the girls' point of view, once they realized they had been duped:
