The two weekend syndicated WWE recap shows, Raw Bottomline and Smackdown Afterburn have reportedly been cancelled according to various websites.

WWE sent notification to TV networks today that the two syndicated shows "WWE Afterburn" & "WWE Bottom Line" will be cancelled this fall.

The WWE is apparently going to change up there weekend programming. The WWE has always had 2 hours of syndicated programming for the past 20 years. Originally WWF Superstars and WWF Wrestling Challenge were 2 of the top WWE shows before Monday Night Raw's debut in 1993. They faded away in the late 90s and were replaced by WWF Shotgun Challenge and WWF Shotgun Saturday Night and were retitled WWF Metal and WWF Jakked, then when the brand split occured in 2002, the two shows simply became recap shows and WWE Heat and WWE Velocity served as the two shows for the jobbers.

Now with Heat and Velocity possibly cancelled, the WWE could be creating 2 new syndicated shows for the lower card talent and possibly turn Heat into a recap show since it is needed before PPV's and it was an original USA Network show when it debuted in 1998.
