View Full Version : FOL On Tube Time
chrisjb717 08-03-2005, 09:03 PM Just an FYI for anyone with digital cable, it looks as if FOL will soon make an appearance on Tube Time on On Demand. FOL appears on Tube Time's list of titles although no episodes have been added as of tonight. I assume they'll start with Season 1 like they did for Diff'rent Strokes. Happy viewing!

TV Girl 06 08-04-2005, 08:04 PM Does anyone here know if that channel is on iO Digital?
Erica H 08-05-2005, 12:13 AM I have time warner digital cable so is it on there too?
MrMike898 08-05-2005, 08:10 AM According to the ON DEMAND web site, here is the schedule for episodes labeled 101-106:
------TITLE--------------START-----------END------
Facts of Life 101-------08/08/05-----10/31/05
Facts of Life 102-------08/08/05-----10/31/05
Facts of Life 103-------08/15/05-----10/31/05
Facts of Life 104-------08/15/05-----10/31/05
Facts of Life 105-------08/22/05-----10/31/05
Facts of Life 106-------08/29/05-----10/31/05
It's anyone's guess as to which episodes these may actually be. Comcast seems to label episodes however they like, instead of going by production number or airdate. I'm just happy that they decided to start showing The Facts of Life through TubeTime. Now I'll have both this and Maude to watch! :happyface
Pavan 08-05-2005, 09:54 AM You can search for episodes by show here: http://comcast.m0.net/m/p/com/mic/search.asp?a=M&linkpage=search.asp

FOL is supossed to start on Aug 8th but may not due to a technical problem. It's been removed temporarily from ON DEMAND
SoapFan71 08-07-2005, 07:16 PM do they charge to see every episode & if so, how much? Thanx
TVFactFan 08-07-2005, 07:38 PM do they charge to see every episode & if so, how much? Thanx

TVFactFan 08-07-2005, 08:46 PM That's what I have, and I don't get it. :(
You don't get it because it's a feature only for Comcast Digitial customers. Time Warner doesn't offer that feature

I wish they did, though! :(
seventies_sitcoms 08-08-2005, 01:12 PM FOL still isn't on Tube Time yet, so I guess they are still trying to get it fixed. I hope they don't back of it and bring something else. All of the other TT shows have new episodes. I wonder what is wrong with putting FOL into their system?

Well the good news is it's not just happening in the philly area-lol I thought it was just my area
MrMike898 08-09-2005, 06:41 AM Episodes 101 & 102 were just added to my box a few minutes ago. I'm happy to see that they are the actual 1st and 2nd episodes of the series. The running time for episode 1 is listed at 23 minutes, but episode 2 is listed as running 26 minutes... very strange... But, Facts of Life is Facts of Life, edited or not, and it makes me happy. Hooray for Comcast!

They are the "real" first episodes with all of the other girls? I'll have to check out my TV later to see if I got them. C'mon Comcast! :)

Yup, they sure are, including that darn Molly Ringwald!
seventies_sitcoms 08-09-2005, 07:57 PM Nothing has been added, you are lying.
I still don't have anything yet. I don't know if certain areas are getting fixed before others, but there are supposed to be 6 episodes, not two.
SoapFan71 08-09-2005, 08:51 PM I wonder if they can track how many people watch these "Tube Time" shows? If so maybe they r using that info to see how popular they r b4 deciding what to release on DVD? Just a thought!
Pavan 08-10-2005, 12:26 AM No, there are supposed to be 2 episodes this week. Then 2 more the week of 8/15 and 2 more for the week of 8/22. And Todd sees Ep. 1 and 2 on his service, so they are added to some I guess. He confirms what MrMike898 says, so it is true.
MrMike898 08-10-2005, 03:08 AM I'd like to thank Pavan and Todd for confirming that what I said was indeed true.
On a lighter note, I watched both episodes and found that the running time listed for episode 1 is indeed correct at 23 minutes. Episode 2, however, is listed as running 26 minutes, but only ran a little over 24 minutes. I'm not sure why episode 1 runs shorter than episode 2 though... Maybe someone knows if there were any cuts made to episode 1...

HOLD IT! do you mean that they are only showing 6 episodes???
MrMike898 08-10-2005, 09:00 AM No, that is the schedule thus far. Like a tv network, Comcast only schedules their ON DEMAND programming so far in advance. Unless something very strange happens, or their deal with Sony is to only air the first 6 episodes (highly unlikely) they should continue showing episodes. But, how many they will end up showing altogether is anyone's guess.
Until Comcast or Sony gives us actual confirmation, all we can do is hope they continue airing episodes in the fashion in which they've started.
I know I would be sad if they only showed a few episodes or even just a couple of seasons. ON DEMAND is a newer service, and so far they haven't gotten past the 3rd season of any Sony shows yet. But, they haven't shown any signs of ceasing airing any of them either.
If anyone here works at Sony or Comcast or has any connections that might provide us with anymore insight into this, please post it.

Yes, if anybody for Comcast/Sony is out there please show all 6 seasons of Maude, all seasons of FOL, and bring on One Day At A Time!! Thank you very much! :)
Gizmo1 08-10-2005, 05:11 PM Well atleast it is getting airtime somewhere....too bad its not available for me either.
seventies_sitcoms 08-12-2005, 10:40 PM Has anybody else received FOL on Tube Time yet? I still don't have mine.
TVFactFan 08-12-2005, 10:48 PM Has anybody else received FOL on Tube Time yet? I still don't have mine.
Nope
MrMike898 08-15-2005, 06:12 PM Has everybody received episodes 101-104 on their boxes yet? Episodes 103 & 104 appeared on mine last night around 2AM. Again, Comcast has labeled these correctly as being the actual 3rd and 4th episodes of Season 1. Episode 3 runs around 23:30 and Episode 4 runs 24:20. These do appear to be unedited, like the other Sony shows on OnDemand. Again, hooray Comcast! I'm sad though that only one episode will be added next week.
On a separate note, does anyone have problems with their OnDemand "blacking out" for a few seconds at random times? Mine seems to be pretty sporadic and only happens when I least expect it. It sort of makes it a hassle recording things though...
seventies_sitcoms 08-15-2005, 10:31 PM I still haven't received nothing yet. I guess I'm not going to get them. Luckily the Comcast office is right at the end of my street. I wonder if I should go there and say something? I don't know if they will know anything there or not. They will probably think I'm a nut complaing about FOL!
I have never had any trouble with On Demand blacking out.
TVFactFan 08-16-2005, 07:14 PM Has anybody else received FOL on Tube Time yet? I still don't have mine.
I have it now
seventies_sitcoms 08-16-2005, 10:53 PM I still have zilch.
Boots St Clair 08-22-2005, 10:29 PM Yeah I got up to episode 6 already, I believe. I live in Jax, FL
I have all of these episodes on tape from NAN/TVL...I did notice one joke from episode one that was not on my NAN tape, so I'll probably record all of these from On Demand. There's no commercials and potential for other cut jokes to be included lol.
panman 10-03-2005, 07:47 PM I have all the Season 1 eps, and Season 2 starts today.
BlairsQueenOfMyJeans 10-14-2005, 12:10 PM I'm glad it's on COD :) I tape almost all of the episodes!
shutupndance 10-14-2005, 06:03 PM Argghh! I wish we had this in Canada. Anyone willing to copy episodes? e-mail me. supertrouper80@hotmail.com
