This was a teen abducted in TN. Does anyone know any more info on the case, i havent heard ONE thing in the news since 1987. She was profiled on UM where she and her brother ran out of gas at like 9pm, he left to walk to the gas station and when he came back she was gone, but her purse was in the car and there was so sign of a struggle. Later a "witness" said she saw a lady ask for help while in a bathroom in the park, and even wrote in lipstick on the mirror help me, and the girl was forced to walk away with the guy who was walking with his arm around her and the girl kept looking at the woman.
Of course that sighthing is probably the wrong girl , we all know how "reliable" witnesses are...take the cary nixon case, the woman swore it was her. I heard a police officer tell me that he never takes any witness seriously. Makes you wonder though... what happened to poor Martha. I also think that the cell phone is a godsend of a technological breakthrough.. I think there have to be less abductions because of this, especially since now stranded motorists arent sitting ducks and people dont need to use pay phones anymore which are two of the scenarios weve seen with many people being abducted. I would wonder if any of you have data to corroborate my theory. Phew, What a mouthful that was

Cheers to all!

I don't remember ever seeing it, but it sounds vaguely familiar. You definitely have me curious now. Here is the Doe Network profile:

http://www.doenetwork.us/cases/67dftn.html

They have her name listed as Martha Leanne Green, not "Greene."

Somebody must still be working on the case since the age-progression photo is supposed to be circa 2005.

HEADLINE: Dig seeks clues in Green case

BYLINE: Staff

BODY:
Authorities excavated sites in Savannah Friday in a futile effort to
uncover clues in the disappearance eight years ago of a White Bluff woman.

A spokesman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said authorities
were following up on tips on the Leanne Green case, a reference to the April
1987 disappearance of 17-year-old Martha Leanne Green.

Green was last seen in a car that had run out of gas along Tenn. 46 in
Dickson County, west of Nashville. Her brother had gone in search of gas
while she stayed in the car. When he returned, she was gone.
