They're in their sixties, but Crosby, Stills and Nash can still belt out a tune! They played the Beacon Theater in Manhattan last night, and they were in quite good form. They played "Carry On," "Almost Cut Hair," "Marrakesh Express," and Southern Cross with verve, and they also did moving renditions of "Guinnevere" and "Delta," both Crosby songs. Stephen Stills is still a great guitarist, but he seemed to be out of it during the first half of the show. He came roraing back in the second half, offering som searing solos. James Raymond and Jeff Pevar, who play with Crosby in a sidleine group, anchored the backing band solidly. David Crosby offered some really biting banter between songs bashing goerge W. Bush! I left the theater by the stage door with several other people, and the group hopped out and into a waiting car right in front of us! But there were so many people between them and me, all I saw was Graham Nash's head! All in all, a good night! :)
