New to forum, but a fan of this show since the beginning[I was a kid when it first aired]. Anyway, for those of you who have watched, have you ever noticed the file footage used in the various episodes? Basically, what I'm referring to are the Jap "Zero" flying over the palm trees, and the close up of the wing mounted machine gun? Another of my favorites is the torpedoed submarine footage; same sub, same camera angle. Our course, there are others which are used, I'm sure it helped keeping production costs down.
To be sure, I loved this program when it was first aired [I was 9]; watched until if left prime time, and continued to watch re-runs until it was taken off the air. Wish someone would bring it back to TV; like so many of the 60's sitcoms, it's more FAMILY type entertainment to be enjoyed as a FAMILY, unlike today's major and cable network trash. Glad I taped some episodes back in the 80's when the now defunct "HA!" network did a marathon.
