View Full Version : Better Ending for Good Times

I believe the ending should have been a two-parter so the good news could have been spread out rather than have everything happen (or said) in three minutes. I could see an ending where the family is celebrating and Florida walking over to her Jesus pic on the wall and thanking him for all His blessings throughout their times in the ghetto and thanking him for the future blessings they are about to receive. I loved when Florida talked to God, Jesus, etc. whether it was out of happiness, despair or fear. Like when she "interrupted God" telling him it was an emergency and she needed Him now!!! when Michael gets suspended.

I think it would have been better to actually see all of them move into their better homes!! So we could see that they actually made it!

You are the best Irene! I've been saying this for a long time now. Everything in that episode seemed rushed and made it look phony. I didn't like the very ending either when it froze Willona hugging Florida. It was missing alot of something.

I want to see it when you're done with it guys!! I agree - the finale was way too rushed and it would have been nice to see them actually move and where they would be living.

James would still be alive and maybe have landed a great paying construction job or something.

Here's a twist (and Solomon's gonna hate me) - have Florida move back to where things started - next door to Maude!!! :D

that will be neat.

the producers didn't want to spend money on the new sets, knowing it was their last season.
