View Full Version : Anyone here had any peculiar bosses? peter may 07-28-2005, 02:49 PM at work, just thought id ask as mine is quite odd, lol.... TripperFan 07-28-2005, 02:56 PM I've had some doozies!!! Everything from perverts to idiots! I meant to ask how the new job was going. I had an interview yesterday and they said they'd make a decision by this morning....well the phone hasn't rung.....so guess I'm the silver medalist once again. :grr: The owner looked like a cross between Captain Hi-Liner and Sven from the Ikea catalogue!! dawsongirl 07-28-2005, 03:48 PM Not now, thank GOD! But damn...my last bosses...poster children for the Idiot's Society of North America. The guy was a mechanic, and he was fine at that, but running a business was wayyyyyyy over his head. And his wife...omg, dumbest, most manipulative woman I've ever seen. I'm surprised she can tie her own shoes. She had even less of an idea of how to run a business and the worst part was that her husband believed everything she said. My mom works for their accountant, so I get to hear about all the things they don't know anything about. Could fill the Library of Congress. And they were rude and untrusting. I think they thought I was out to destroy their business from the inside. O_o Crazed lunatics. Mijada 07-28-2005, 04:08 PM The boss I have now, Gosh don't even get me started. Sometimes he can be the nicest guy in the world and sometimes he can be a real jerk. I went on a business trip with him to Tennessee a few months ago and he couldn't have been nicer but in the workplace he is a totally different person. He will yell and scream at people for stupid things then like 10 minutes later he will come up and talk to you like nothing happened. One day he will tell you to do something and the next day he will say the opposite. Everyone's afraid of him and no one can stand him most of the time. I had another boss one time too. When I was in high school I worked in the circulation dept of a local newspaper place. Our circulation manager walked around like he was all that. He would wear all this grease in his hair and everyday had on these goofy suspenders. He was having an affair with one of the employees who was married with kids. Everyone got paid under the table and there were no time cards, the company never asked the circulation employees for ther drivers licences, social security cards etc. Everyone would just sign a piece of paper when they came in to work, work until they got tired and then sign out when they went home. My boss would make up fake names and sign the paper and like 8 hrs later sign the paper again and collect all this money for hiself. he finally ended up getting caught after a few years and the company eventually went out of business. Can't imagine why, being that eveything was handled in such a professional manner ........... dawsongirl 07-28-2005, 04:25 PM The boss I have now, Gosh don't even get me started. Goofy looking couple. She even ended up leaving her husband and 2 daughters to live with him. dawsongirl 07-28-2005, 05:34 PM Yep, that's what we all said too. She had to have been desparate. She yells at me for every minor thing I do wrong. I'M NOT TRAINED AS A TEACHER. I DO NOT KNOW THESE THINGS. dawsongirl 07-29-2005, 03:04 AM My supervisor (not over-all boss, though) is a condescending bitch. She yells at me for every minor thing I do wrong. I'M NOT TRAINED AS A TEACHER. I DO NOT KNOW THESE THINGS. O_o Aren't you more like a babysitter...one that actually plays with the kids and shows them stuff, not a lazy one I mean. K, that sounded bad, but I mean, it's not like you're teaching them chemistry. I think I'll shut up now. ponytail 07-29-2005, 07:02 AM My present boss is the worst I've ever had. He yells at us, talks down to us and now a girl ( his nephew's wife ) just got fired , because he was coming on to her and she wouldn't go along with it. She said she just thought he was being nice and friendly, she didn't know he wanted more. He's married and 57 and she is married and 23. I felted sorry for her. I heard she may be filing a lawsuit against him. I hope so. |
