A slight variation on this week's poll. By now most of us know that the Cosby Show dvd has syndicated episodes, but I'm still interested in seeing how many would buy it if it was complete and unedited. So there are two choices if you're interested in the Cosby Show: if you'd buy it only if it's complete or if you'll buy it regardless.

I'll be getting Candid Camera - Decades of Smiles and The Cosby Show - Season 1 for free. Just to note, as much as I would hate it, I think I would break down and buy TCS even though it is edited. I'm still pissed over it though, and my review for it won't be happy.

And, somewhere down the line, I'll pick up Hearts Afire - Season 1.

I'm on the fence too. I keep hoping Urbanworks makes an announcement: oops, we made a mistake, we'll fix it, we'll release a proper version. I'm not sure one way or the other if I'll walk out of the store with it on Tuesday. I'll be looking to see how many other people buy it though.

I'm not buying anything on 8/2, but I may check out Hearts Afire down the road. Who knows... My birthday is in 2.5 weeks so I may ask for it as a b-day gift.

Hearts Afire Season 1 is a must buy. The writing is awesome for season one. One of the best seasonal writings ever for a sitcom I think. Too bad CBS messed it up with their censors for seasons 2 and 3. They thought S1 was too sexy.

I doubt another company's gonna come along and release the unedited episodes in season sets - This is it. Same thing with The Cosby Show.

well, ADW will be different IMO. Even though it airs on Oxygen, 99% of my tv viewing is usually after 8 or 9 pm, so I rarely get to see it. I have Cosby Show as an option to watch every night. Plus retail will be a tad bit cheaper.

I will ask you, Sasette, BuffySlayer, barwars and all other Different World fans to join me as we burn down the Urbanworks offices. NO!! JUST KIDDING!! I admit, it's possible I may still get the Cosby Show, it's not a definitive no. But if they do that with ADW, I wouldn't buy it because I already recorded each and every episode from the syndicated broadcasts on dvd-r. I'm hoping ADW will be complete and also have some good bonus features. I love ADW more than the Cosby Show but if they release edited versions, there will be no reason for me to buy it.

I wouldn't buy the edited episodes of the Cosby show, not with as much airplay as the show gets, maybe if it were a show like Who's the Boss or something that didn't get alot of airplay I probably would.

I would ADW on DVD even if it were edited, because Oxygen comes in crappy on all the TVs in my house, but I still wouldn't be happy. Having TCS edited is a total disgrace though, I can watch it whenever I want on multiple channels. It's bull**** to release syndication cuts.

I never watched "Hearts Afire" on USA, but I think I'll buy the DVD. I mean I like both John Ritter and Markie Post. So, in other words, the only DVD I'm picking up is "Hearts Afire: Season 1".

I dislike it. I've tried to like it. I even taped the first few episodes on N@N. There are certain scenes I find funny. My older sister loves the show and thinks I'm crazy for not liking it. I give it credit for saving the sitcom back in the 80's, but I don't like watching it.

Oddly enough, when I did watch it, I enjoyed Olivia. I thought that she was the funniest character on the show. I come here and find most people didn't like her.

I guess I won't say I "hate it". I mean there was a time when I disliked "Friends", "Seinfeld" and "That 70's Show". Now I'm a fan of those shows. So maybe one day, I'll change my mind about "The Cosby Show"... Maybe.

no MTM/Third Rock/Remington Steele deals this week with Cosby this week :( what a shame because at least with those aforementioned shows, you're getting your moneys worth with the DVD's, Cosby is not worth $30 when you're not getting the original episodes.

I was contemplating using $20 in coupons I got from FYE that must be used between the 8th and 18th on Cosby but then decided I'd hate myself for it, so I'll use that and put it towards reserving Veronica Mars season 1 on DVD.

how many people watch SFU here? maybe 5, and they all post on the board anyways and HBO's already aired the episode twice. Most people will see it and just think he's some random guy who just died. Only hardcore Seinfeld, Cybill and Sports Night fans will put 2 and 2 together and realize it's Peter Krause the actor.

It's late for the party when you mourn the death of a freaking character when they've been dead a season or two. It'd be anti-climatic as a Buffy fan if I suddenly did a "RIP Tara" avatar considering the character died in 2002.

No, if I haven't seen the episode yet, it's a spoiler. If you've seen a 5 year old movie that I haven't seen and you let me know something critical to the story, it's a spoiler. That's why I've avoided SFU boards on AOL or anywhere else, I didn't know what happened and preferred keeping myself from knowing what happened until I've seen it myself. HBO airs the episode numerous times, including on HBO On Demand, where people can watch at their convenience. That the episode aired last night is no excuse. It's okay though, I'll just have to turn off avatars or make sure I watch everything as soon as it airs.

well, I'm sorry if I spoiled the episode to you. But there's a huge difference with TV shows than movies. IMO, as soon as the show has officially aired on the west coast, people are generally considered free to openly discuss it as they please, because it already aired.

Have you ever heard the comment "water cooler show"? That is when people talk about whatever happened on x-TV show at work the morning after. Six Feet Under has been commonly referred to as a "water cooler show".

lol. I have read several different spoilers about the ending, but I won't speak it out loud, since they all contrast each other, they might all be thrown out there.

I also know the QAF spoilers for the final episode, but I'm not blurting a word of it out cause it's not gonna air until Sunday but I don't really like the show anymore but I found out.

Series finale endings are usually the biggest deal, I purposely avoid them if it's a fave show, like I stayed away from Buffy forums for a month before the final episode (because spoilers generally would get out a month in advance) aired so the finale would be new to me, even tho I ended up finding out that Anya died in advance.

I voted for X-Files Mythology Vol. 2 (Black Oil)! I love this DVD! I was so excited to see it in stores. I love this special collector’s set because it includes several specific episode commentaries plus part two of Chris Carter’s new documentary “Threads Of Mythology,” which explains the meaning of The X-Files. Be a true fan and buy this awesome DVD soon!
