i just recently saw the episode of all in the family where maude and her family were introduced, ( it was a wdding sbject ). and also the pilot for maude. carole was not originally played by adrienne barbaeu . it was an actress named marsha rodd ( i thnk i got it right ) . she was a much better carole !! and a better actress. does anyone know why she was not retained for the series ?

I never knew this, but oh well. I personally liked adrienne barbaeu playing Carole. I wouldnt have wanted it any other way.

I like the 2nd Carole but i would like to know why they let the 1st Carole go that was in the pilot for maude? Please post any info?? Thanks!

I Nevery Really Notice I Throught It Was The Same Carol From Start To End Of The Series InTilll Now I Nevery Kmew That There Was 2 Diffrent Carole On The Series Maude Both Carole Looks Like Can They Pass As Twins.
