Young Lust: A Tribute to Classic Rock is just a tentative title for the band I am forming. I will take the position of lead singer. My friend from work will be the bass guitarist and his 5th cousin will be my lead guitarist. All I need now is a rhythm guitarist and a percussionist.

Young Lust is a reference to Aerosmith, whose music we will be playing. But since it is a tribute to Classic Rock we will also be playing Van Halen (from both eras), The Doors, ACDC, Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, Guns n' Roses, Bob Segar, and any other bands we can think of.

I'm friends with a band called Frontiers: A Tribute To Journey. And their performance inspired me to form my own Tribute band. I would never write my own music because I don't like modern rock or modern any music. I'm turning 21 in September. Isn't that odd?

If you'd like to hear a sample of how good Frontiers are just go to their website http://www.journeytributeband.com/.

I've been told I can sing by many people. But the difference where the opinion is belies in my range. My mom says that I strain. My bass guitarist says I can get high. So I'm going to have to get some vocal lessons. Because I don't want to strain. I have been told there are a few people on this board that are into singing so if anyone can give me singing tips, it'll be much appreciated.

Thank You.

Thanks for bumping this thread - I didn't see it before.

Don't worry - the boards have been pretty quiet today - it'll probably get busier this afternoon. Hopefully Safety Pin or Quencherita can provide some tips as well as others.

Still searching for malls - but it turns out there's a million in your state! You're best bet is probably narrowing it down to your city and then searching for "accessory" type stores from there.

Good luck with the band - I'll have to checkout that link!

I don't know who bumped this board (what does that mean?) But I don't think I did that. If anything I would've wanted this to be at the top so people will respond.
