Considering TV Land's ratings for the inauguration of Good Times with 96 episodes over the weekend proved to be a smash hit (the GT board said that ratings were nearly double the usual weekend), makes me think that TV Land should do away with Bonanza and Gunsmoke every weekend and bring back Fandemoniums every weekend.

We saw during the N@Niversary the vast number of shows TV Land can do weekends of... avoid the likes of I Love Lucy, Three's Company, Brady Bunch, Cheers and Sanford And Son that have all been pretty much exhausted and played out the past few years and devote full weekends (just borrow the shows for one time usage that Viacom doesn't currently have ownership to) to shows like Soap, Maude, Facts Of Life, Family Ties, Laverne And Shirley, My Three Sons, Taxi, Donna Reed, Charlie's Angels, etc etc etc etc etc.... that are well known and loved yet aren't exactly shown to an extent that one wants to shoot the tv when it's on.

TV Land used to do this several years ago and everyone looks fondly at it now, and when you consider just how many people who don't normally watch TV Land on the weekend turned on to see a weekend long marathon of Good Times episodes, I think people are ready for this to come back.

Yes yes yes! I would watch every weekend non stop if all my faves and other shows got fandemoniums! TV Land should bring it back!

I don't think they should do every weekend marathons, but once a month would be good. Bonanza and Gunsmoke do very well in their mini blocks on the weekends.

WB and NAN 20th weekends were total bombs, though.

I think they're a great idea. About a year ago they had them once in a while. I remember them airing Cheers and The Addams Family, among others.

WB and NAN 20th weekends were total bombs, though.

I think the reason they were bombs was because the average fan felt let down by seeing one episode of a show they love knowing that TV Land wasn't planning to air more. A lot of people probably didn't wanna see one episode of Kotter or Rhoda knowing that it'd be it for them. All of a sudden it'd just make them hungrier than before.

I agree with BuffySlayer. You wanted to see more of the shows. I read that some people on this site (myself included) got into a few shows during the WB 50th anniversary marathon (Life Goes On and John Larroqette being the main ones) and wanted more of them, so I guess that was the problem with both of the marathons.

Not with most of the current crop of shows on TVL. But I still have fond memories of trying to stay up 48 hours to watch the Adam-12 Fandemonium, so why not?

I don't know if I'd like the full fandemonium to come back but I would like to see something like the vertivision block they used to do on sat nights (a marathon of one show from 8PM-6AM) because that gives you a nice long marathon if you like the show but still other stuff on the weekend if you don't
