A long time ago, back when TBS was still known as "WTBS", I saw some colorized episodes of Season 1. Good lord, the episodes looked like crap. The person who colorized them, wasn't even trying to make them look good.

I have about 15 or 20 episodes of the TBS colorized first season episodes. Like you said they look like crap. In a way though its like its a whole new episode.

For one thing, being in b&w it's easier to imagine it's on a real island, while in the color ones it's obviously on a set. In the very beginning, the audience is led to believe the show will be more realistic than it turned out to be, and I actually cared about them being rescued. Also, Gilligan's hat (I'm surprised I've never read anybody mention this anywhere) looked WAY BETTER with the BRIM UP! It actually looked like a real sailor hat instead of whatever it became. . .

That's fine, but I still stand by my comments.

I'm a true fan of the show and I like all 3 seasons very much.But,I prefer the first season also.I found the earlier episodes funnier and more realistics than the 2 others seasons.

I felt your capture was a little too dark. No offence meant.

TV film is usually much darker than camera film, because when TV film reached the airwaves, they didn't want it to be too bright. They didn't want to affect the viewers eyes.
