I don't know why but I hated watching NWA. I always preferred WWF, I just could never get into the NWA. Never liked it

As a kid, I was a big WWF fan. As I got older, I really got into the NWA. The Four Horsemen, The Midnight Express, Barry Windham, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, The Freebirds, Sting, Nikita Kolof, etc.

They were totally different, the NWA was more legit wrestling and the WWF began to take on a soap opera like style. Anyway I would prefer to have either compared to the way the WWE is today.

I preferred the NWA better. The WWF was getting too cartoonish at the time. The NWA had the better wrestlers, the better matches, the better events. They had the Starrcades, The Great American Bashes, The Crockett Cups, The Bunkhouse Stampedes. I loved it. Some of my favorite moments was when Dusty Rhodes beat Tully Blanchard to a pulp with a bat in the TBS studios. The Road Warriors jumped Sting and sidelined him. They took off their spikes and dug it into Dusty Rhode's eye. The greatest U.S. champion was Magnum T.A. he had the best matches with Tully Blanchard and he almost beat Ric Flair. I actually liked the NWA better before they became WCW.

The WWF was more mainstream, but the NWA stood its ground. Let's not forget, a jealous Vince McMahon scheduled the first Survivor Series at the same time and day as the annual Starrcade, knocking them out of the picture and forcing them to have Starrcade in December. Vince ruined wrestling if you asked me.

Yo, Solomon, have you ever seen Hulk Hogan's Rock n' Wrestling? I liked that. Came out in 1985 on CBS. Just about every kid our age at the time watched it.
I also had acton figures of Andre the Giant and The Iron Sheik.

I don't remember watching that but I did have all the wrestling men along with the Wrestling Ring. My mom was searching all over the city for Wrestling men during the winter of 84-lol

As a teen in the 80's I liked to watch G.L.O.W- Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. I still have not seen a cheezier show than GLOW yet!

I have ordered "The Life and Death Of The Road Warriors." I had to get that. They were the best tag team team of all time. Vince copied them by creating Demolition. When he did get the Road Warriors, they looked like a joke. Those fake looking shoulder pads.
