Does anyone remember this story from the 90-91 or 92-93 season? Harland Nelson was an old man who had hired some contactors to work around his house. The contactors were actually a ring of conmen, who kept Nelson is his home all the time. He could never even leave to get his mail, for the conmen would open it first. During the narration, RS even said "Harland Nelson became a prisoner in his own home." He also mentioned that during the filming of the story that Harland Nelson ad passed away.
Anyway, what city/state did this story take place in, and what month/year? Did they ever catch the conmen involved? They seem to be from that type of scammers who specifically target the elderly.

Wow, I don't even remember that one! Does anybody else?

I remember that story, even though I don't recall ever seeing it rerun on Lifetime. I remember it being mentioned that the con victim had passed away. Although I can't say for a fact, this might have been in Maryland. Unfortunately, I don't remember much else about the segment, although it most likely aired in 1993 (and the crime probably happened not too long before then). In addition, I don't know the current status of the case.
