I found it strange when JJ and Thelma insulted each other how JJ would say how ugly she is. Thelma was beautiful he was the skinny goofy looking one. It was more believable when he would insult her cooking. But for him to say she is ugly seem strange because he was the funny looking one.

JJ was very self confident. He thought he was a ladies man.

with Thelma as the model. He admitted he thought she was pretty. I thought they were both attractive people.
