After going to the Warner Brothers fan site for "Gilligan's Island", I'm really confused about the color of the Professor's shirt.

Was it white as the trivia question indicates on the Warner Brother's site or was it a very pale shade of blue?

It seems on all the reunion shows, Russell Johnson wears a light blue shirt.

Does anyone know for sure?

Allow me to be the trivia nazi. Per "Here on Gilligan's Isle", Russell Johnson says "I had a rack of several pairs of khaki pants, several light blue oxford shirts, and yellow socks with a ring around the top". (pg. 96)

For years I thought he was wearing a white shirt but rewatching the color episodes... yeah, it's light blue.

On the other hand, per a picture of his military id in the same book, he's theorectically blond... and I dunno if I buy that.

I have that book too! Why I didn't think to look there... must be all the meds I'm on since having surgery! LOL...

Well, I buy the fact that he was a blonde when he was younger. A lot of blondes start out that way and their hair darkens as they get older.

Let me just say, that in that military ID picture....he is one handsome hunk of twenty year old. *cough* ok, on to the actual topic of this post...

I always thought it was white too, until I heard/read somewhere where Russell said it was light blue. So yeah, I started paying closer attention to the color episodes, and it's clearly not completely white. It's only slightly blue though, and most of the time just looks like a version of white. I'm just glad to hear that I'm not the only one who had such confusion.

On early Season 2 episodes, it is a white shirt, but for most of Season 2 and Season 3, it's light blue. No doubt about it.
