What shows have you grown to like in the last year, whether it be a new show or an old show you just discovered

here's mine:

WHO'S THE BOSS
--- I became a fan of this right after it debuted on N@N which was just over a year ago. Having never seen it before that, it hooked me and even though it's kinda corny and the acting's not great, I really enjoy it

MURPHY BROWN
--- I didn't watch it when it first came on in January (I'm too busy during the school year) but I've been taping a lot of it when it's on Wednesday overnights and I really enjoy it. The show is smart and funny and the cast is great

TWO AND A HALF MEN
--- I didn't watch it the first year or the first half of the second, but I started watching it this year after "Raymond" and found it refreshing to see a relatively new but still funny sitcom on the air. It gives the genre a little bit of hope

COACH
--- I rarely it on N@N, I can't imagine why since they played it to death (sarcasm), but on days I had to get up early, I've been catching it on USA and I've begun to enjoy it

I agree about Murphy Brown! I had never watched it before it came to N@N, and now I love it. It's a really smart, well-written show. I wish I'd given it a chance sooner.

One Tree Hill: I've heard alot of great things about this show from tv to messageboards, so I decided to buy the show without even seeing it on TV... just to check it out, see if I like it or dont.. after I watched the pilot I become instantly hooked.. I could of watched the entire disc-set that same day if I wanted to.. But defiently my new favorite show of 05

C.S.I: Las Vegas: After looking at lot of tv websites, and messageboards.. seeing how it dominated in the ratings, and witness some bashing in the messageboards I wanted to check it out. See if the show lived up to the ratings it was getting and it sure did. I had my brother who works at Blockbuster rent me CSI and have enjoyed each disc Ive seen..

Smallville: After ABC cancelled Eyes, and 8 Simple Rules I was extremely depressed and I thought I wasnt going to watch great t.v in a long time. But when the new fall schedule came out and I was checking out the WB Fall Schedule and saw that Smallville is moving to a new night and time.. I started to check out reruns and enjoyed each show. It made me forgot about what ABC did and just enjoyed each episode I saw..

I've been watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for about a month, and I love it. I never saw a single episode during it's original run.

Same for Sanford and Son. Great show.

Who's The Boss? this past Fall/Winter after my grandmother died. I absolutely *llllooooovvve* this show!! It is so great! :D I think it is very sweet, very very funny and cute and of course has a Romance side too. And it's a really good "family/morals" type show. And unlike many of the shows today and even some back then, the two characters that are attracted to each other *never* "sleep" together throughout the entire Series. And you know what I mean by "sleep" together.

Also The Tony Danza Show. It's a talk show and I like Tony to begin with and it's one of the best ones out there. It has much variety and seems much more entertaining than the other talk shows, IMO.

I have also gone back to some old Classic Favorites that I have grown-up with. :D. But those are the two that I have become *new* to in the past year. :)

This is an easy one: "Everybody Loves Raymond." For some reason, my wife and I never made the effort to try it out and didn't care for the Raymond character when he appeared on "King of Queens." But we watched enough of the episodes to feel we could appreciate viewing the finale. And, after seeing that final episode, we thought that maybe we missed out on something pretty special. So we began watching the syndicated reruns and, boy, did we ever miss out on a great show! The situations ... the chemistry ... the writing ... the pathos ... the quirky characters ... We regret having let a decade go by without seeing "Raymond." But now we get to see what, for us, will be first-run episodes!

CSI: Las Vegas- I used to hate it just cuz it was popular and looked boring and gross, but now I think it's awesome. The best part is when they thorw in those funny little throw away lines...Gil usually has them.

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch- I watched it somewhat when it was on ABC, but stopped when it moved to WB. Now I'm totally hooked more than I ever was before.

I was not a reality tv fan until the Apprentice aired. Since then, and my appreciation for reality tv is limited, I have become a fan of Hell's Kitchen, I Wanna Be A Hilton and American Idol. I also like the new show House and NYPD Blue reruns.

I have also become a fan of Murphy Brown this past year and haven't missed taping an episode yet! ;) Even though I was much younger when most of the series was airing on CBS, I still remembered seeing "Birth 101," so when I noticed the marathon was on N@N this past January, I decided to watch that one, as well as "One" and the finale, to see Barry Manilow and Bette Midler guest-star. However, I found myself watching all of the episodes that surrounded these "key" ones, and I really liked them and felt that if I was writing a sitcom, THIS is how I would personally do it, so I bought the S1 DVD set and then watched on N@N from there and haven't turned back! ;) Like others have said, it is a smart, funny comedy!

"Will & Grace" (I always get into the 'popular' sitcoms too late, but I enjoy this one for its broad humor, good for easy laughs)

"Joey" (started off good in its first few episodes, then got awful quickly, but redeemed itself by the second half of the season to the point where it's solidly funny)

"Committed" (since been cancelled, and while it didn't air long enough for me to become attached, it was a good way to pass some time while it lasted)

"Scrubs" (has quickly become one of my favorite sitcoms ever, for its characters and seamless blend of comedy and drama)

Gilmore Girls - Before this spring I always saw this show as one of those teen dramas and I was never really interested in that genre of television. I'm glad I gave it a chance... I love it now. It's a lot smarter than I would have ever expected it to be.

Night Court - I saw this for the first time about 12 days ago and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite shows.
