i have watched alot of andy shows and alot of re runs but it seems out of all the episodes i "have" seen , i missed the one where ellie went away . did they ever have a show where andy and her broke up ? or what happened ? i loved her as his girlfriend :)

I think this is a question for the Andy Griffith Show forum, but, yes, she just disappeared. Andy had other women he dated and then eventually wound up with Helen Crump.

Yes Ellie Left The Show but I do think that Andy and Ellie Made a Good Couple.
